We enabled a new caching system today that will eventually help the performance of the HAMB. However, this has created issues within some folks browsers. To get around it's a simple one time fix. All you have to do is clear your browser's cache and then log back in.

How do you clear your cache? Simple. Here are the step for a number of different browsers:

    Internet Explorer
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. IE 8: From the Tools menu choose Internet Options.
IE 9: In the upper right corner, click the small gear icon (to the right of the star icon) and choose Internet Options
    3. On the General tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
    4. Un-check the Preserve Favorites website data box.
    5. Check the Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History boxes.
    6. The Form data, Passwords, and inPrivate Filtering data boxes may be left un-checked. You can check them to delete this data if you so choose.
    7. Click Delete.
    8. When finished, click OK to return to your Internet Explorer window.
    9. Close the Internet Explorer window and reopen
    Safari
    1. Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.
    2. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data....
    3. Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears.
    Firefox
    1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History. ...
    2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
    3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.
    Google Chrome
    1. Do one of the following: ...
    2. Select the period of time you wish to delete cached information using the “Obliterate the following items from” drop down menu. ...
    3. Select the “Clear browsing data” button, and Chrome will clear your cache.
    iPhone or iPad
    1. Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
    2. Scroll down and tap on Safari.
    3. Now scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on Advanced.
    4. Tap on Website Data. ...
    5. Scroll to the bottom again and tap on Remove All Website Data.
    6. Confirm one more time you'd like to delete all data.
    Android

Once this is done, you will be good to go...

Thanks and sorry for the hassle.

Not even sure whether I have Int Exp. 8 or 9, but I don't see a gear in upper right corner of screen. I'm as lost as Hogan's Goat.

Are you on a computer or laptop? If not, are you on a phone or tablet? If so, what kind? I'll walk ya through it...

Ryan, no offense, but some of us, especially me, are so far behind you on this aspect of computers that we have no idea how to accomplish what you're telling us to do. I've never had any interest in going any further than just being able to send and receive emails, and participate in forums, etc. I don't know whether I have IR 8 or 9, I don't know how to even find the instructions "with pictures" you show. Between Microsft and HAMB, I don't know where in the hell I am any more.
Incidentally, the only way I got into HAMB enough to enter this post is by coming back thru a subscription notification on my email.
I get pissed and raise hell sometimes, but that's just a pissed off old man! I appreciate HAMB more than you can know, and I can and have been damned pushy with folks about joining the Alliance, but I'm stumped here.
Wouldn't matter too much about not recognizing me if it weren't for the social forums that are members only.
PS: just saw your question about computer or laptop or phone, I'm on a desktop, but I don't know if I'm on 8 or 9 fror IE. Was updated by my PC guru about a month ago. How can I tell which IE I have?

If you can't figure out how to clear your cache (and I can't help you if you don't know what browser you are running - Internet Explorer or?) you have two options:

    1. Turn off your computer and then turn it back on. By default, your browser might clear you cache for you when you do that.

    2. Wait 24 hours. Most browsers in default mode, clear cache every 24...

Sorry man... This isn't something I chose to do. This happens when you change servers... and we had to due to so much damned traffic.

Hope I'm not "speaking too soon" LOL, but I turned computer completely off and back on after a couple minutes and now the site seems to be accepting my log in OK.
    Thx for your patience.

Just follow the directions on the top of this thread and you should be good... If not, turn off your computer and then turn it back on.

This old fart was able to follow the instructions and all is good. I have IE9 and had to click on the gear icon to continue. If my non computer brain can do it, anyone can. Thanks Ryan.
