'02 down is narrower, about 3".

Get a tape measure, and use the SEARCH here.

Do a lot of research. Have you thought about doing a full frame swap?

03-07 crown vic is as close to a bolt in as you can get - check the track width though depending on what type of wheels you want to use, it may be too wide.

Search, but really, when you get your old suspension off and set the crossmemeber in place, if you dont see how it goes you shouldnt be doing this. its WAY simple. I have a 04CV under my unibody 61. PM me if you need help

Check out my build thread, I know (now) all you need to know to do a Crown Vic swap.

It is the best thing since sliced bread. Tons of aftermarket parts available to, lowering springs, bags. Has built in motor mounts.

You can get rebuild kits for the rack for 20 bucks.

Only downfall I see is the hubs and bearing assemblies are one piece, you cant just change the bearings or clean and repack them. ?Have to buy the whole hub at 150 bucks each!

Nice work on that install Tlmartin84. That is one well written tech tread too.

  10. I have a '64 f100, and I have been in Gearheads truck. I seems to be a real nice swap.
I would like to change every thing over, front suspension, engine, trans, and rear diff.
That way all the wheels are the same.

i have mentioned this in a past post. last year in HERSHEY, i stopped to admire a nice 58 ford F-100. sat nice and looked good. i asked about it and the guy said it was on a mid 80's Ford LTD chassis w/same eng/trans

BTW, i think i am narrowing the rack instead of using the offset brackets I made.

Once you introduce yourself to be polite, you should do the searches suggested. I also know that FoMoCoPower did a similar swap on a 63(?) Ford pickup and it worked great for him
