Eric? Is that you getting your car ready to go? Wow! I wish I could make it out this year but just started a new job a few weeks ago. I hope you plan to drive it to Bonneville because I will be there for that. Burn baby burn!
C-speed, had it together and drove it around for 100 miles with straight headers... Got the exhaust on and then could hear all the noise the t/o bearing was making. Soo...yanked it apart and replaced the t/o and pressure plate etc.. Driving to Austin with Aussie Steve (wouldn't be done without his help) Might get some pic's before we leave.. Here it is at the muffler shop. e ps,glad to hear you're working again.
Hey Eric Steve must've either been laughing his head off, or cursing extremely loudly - saying NOT F*CKIN' AGAIN!!!! Had to pull the flatty about 10 hours before we left for VLV a few back (clutch alignment), then did it all again down at the Roundup (clutch arms pin failure) two years back - at least he's got loads of experience there, ha ha! Have a great trip, sorry I had ta bail this year,***** happens. Dougie
*note to self. prepare an empty bay in the shop, just in case...and go ahead and put Austin Brake and clutch in the 'ol Cell phone. For the unwashed, this is how Steve and I met. day before the show, after a long (4 a.m.) night, walk up to the shop a little late... Hey. There is a perfect 32 3 window in my Bay. and some chick walking around with a perfect 32 grille shell. and a pair of really big feets hanging out from beneath said 32. Hilarity did ensue. 4 of us loaded up in the wagoon with a still warm clutch****y, and a couple of hours later, we were drinking been in the warm sun. (as opposed to driving around in a torrential downpour.)
Lux I was looking forward to hooking u again and going for another great lunch! Steve Having seen Eric's roadster on the other post - what can I say awesome. You know how I love maiden road trips, so this one hopefully will be totally trouble free seeing as I'm absent. Eric Just******in man! Nuff said.
