I am in search of two 1.5" 12 volt gauges for my Roadster project. A fuel gauge and a volt gauge. Black face with white pointer. Do such meters exist? THX. Jay

I would imagine they do .... I just wanted to throw caution in the wind to be careful on ebay.
I was looking for black face white lettering for a temp gauge ..... there is a seller on ebay that had this gauge .... seems he had a lot of cool gauges for old tractors & reasonably priced.
He had just about any gauge you could want. So when I saw this gauge I just ordered it.

My goal was to use the gauge temporarily then to use it as a donor to fix my oem gauge.
After I ordered it the seller was very prompt to ship it ..... He sent it snail mail from India.
Took all most 3 months to get it ..... The tube connecting the bulb to the gauge is not copper so it will not be a donor.
The gauge only goes to 200F ... WTF? Thats fine .... I know the engine is running 180F, it only reads 150F.
But yeah it is old school black, white & chrome .... looks cool.

The India guy has gauges from the Prince of Darkness... I'm talkin' about more Lucas gauges than I knew existed!
I have a T bucket I'm going to sell, so I ordered a set for it, they're red faced. Actually, as most 'T' buckets have that stigna of sameness, a red bucket and turtledeck...then these RED gauges? Wow!
Good way to clean the shop of 'extra parts'...

Yeah, I’ve got two of those Indian gauges which are smith replicas. They took a looooong time to get here but they are inexpensive, look great and work well. They have spade terminals which I don’t like cause they can pop off while fiddling under the dash and the light****emblies are hard to get grounded.
If you order them be careful cause they sell both American and European style. I accidentally ordered a temp gauge that reads in Celsius, anything over 100 is red zone.

Also, when buying a fuel gauge, make sure you know the ohms so you can match a sender to it.

1½" is 38.1mm. If something is described as 45mm it is often actually 44.45mm, or 1¾".
