Technical 1 wire alternator hook up

    how do i install a 1 wire alternator on a vehicle with a voltage regulator?
    also how do you get rid of the wiring going to the voltage regulator?

    you take out the wiring going to the voltage regulator, and connect the one wire output terminal to the battery connection somewhere (either at the positive battery terminal, or at the other end of the positive battery cable). When you take out that wiring for the regulator, pay attention to what the wires are connected to...they might be "hot" wires, so you need to make sure you don't just leave loose ends where they could short out to the body or frame or other wires.

    I believe your going to have to change from amp guage to volt meter also.
