I have just purchased an 1929-31 Chevy 1.5 ton truck. Unsure of the year as the individual is sellin it for his uncle. I need to retreave the truck from the woods but the wheels and tires are shot. They have a 10 bolt pattern in the rear and only use 5 of the bolts up front. I have a 1948 Chevy 1.5 ton truck that I am going to try to use the wheels/tire to get the truck moved out of the woods if they fit. I have been thinking of using a five bolt modern rim (just remove everyother stud on the rear making it a 5 bolt). Not sure what the pattern of the five bolt is, I am hopefully going out there tomorrow to get the truck off the wheels and get the old wheels off. I am going to measure the front bolt pattern to see what rim would fit. Has anyone tried this before and if so do you remember what the pattern was.
