   I drove around in the '40 Chev today, mine is definitely a fuel issue. Popped the gas cap off, that didn't help. I'm going to try a gallon gas can at the pump next.

   i would go with what lobucrod said, if it has been turned into 12 volt, get a resistor. check points also.
