Two Really is better than one. 50 bucks for both and both Baja Bikes. The Yellow one is getting done first, might hunt up a moon mini bike tank to give it a classic look, its getting a 6.5 Predator and will be my pit bike for the drags this season. The black baja warrior will get a 10 hp tillson with torque convertor and a small motorcycle gas tank. And while assisting a friend in cleaning out a trailer he gave me a poseable skeleton to use as i see fit. He may not look like much but he sure is good for a few laughs ( though he came close to a second death when the girlfriend found him one morning on the porcelain throne, she didnt find it amusing when i said taco bell goes right through him ) [emoji16]. Any body else have a few mini bikes and or skeletons in there shops that they would love to share give me some ideas ( weather good or bad [emoji48][emoji48][emoji48][emoji48]) Sent from my LG-M327 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
i had one of those Baja minbikes a couple years ago, with it's original 3 HP motor and my 215 lbs it wasn't very lively. good call on the 6-1/2 Predator
I too bought one new, like your yellow one, only mine was red. The little engine it came with could't really pull me around, and I wound up putting a 6.5 HP B & S on it. Rode it once, and decided I did't want to die that way, and sold it! I probably should have just slowed it down with a larger wheel sprocket. Probably should have just done that with the smaller, original engine; it might have been able to handle my weight then. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
i sold mine too. i had bought it from a guy i work with for $150 complete and running. i thought i'd relive my youth , but after a few passes up and down the sidewalk and down the street when the cops weren't around i found i really didn't need it. i live in town and had no real use for it and sold it to my neighbor for $150 who wanted it for his grand kids. they must have put a thousands mile on it in the fairgrounds parking lot behind us. after they got bored with it he sold it at a garage sale for $150 i also had bought a 6.5 Predator with the intentions of building a slightly bigger minibike , but that project never got started when i was 16 i had a minbike with a 9 HP Chrysler 2-stroke that was wicked. had a two speed jackshaft from Comet. it was street legal with lights, horn etc and a license plate. i would drive it to school and work sometimes
I bought two of those baja minibikes, his and hers. Bought them on closeout for cheap, the stock engine is hardly worth a shit, but it works and were my Bonneville cruisers until the rules change and now you have to have an official Utah off road sticker or be a street legal plated motorcycle. So now its back to bicycles for Bonneville. Saving the minibikes for nephews and nieces when they get a little older and bigger. I mounted the front fenders down n ear the tire to minimize the salt kickup at Bonneville.
Guessing a bit here but the only mini I remember with the 9 horse Chrysler was a Arctic Cat . I have a Bonanza Chopper mini with it’s original Hodaka Ace 100 engine
Go to Diy Go-Karts and learn how to make the predator really haul the mail. The yellow one looks like it is maybe a Manco. Denny
Can anyone shed some light on this tiny mini bike? I love it! I don’t know much about mini bikes, but have always loved them. Is it a homemade frame? What engine is that? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Home made mini which I have a 200cc Yamaha twin for. Then Fred who is Dead in one of my QT midgets. A buddy of mine told me Fred was a customer that waited to long!
I did a Rupp with the 6.5 predator haul ass kit and the damn thing was stupid fast. It really should have been geared too because even when full grown men were sitting on the tank the damn thing would still lift up and anything but easy throttle from a stop would flip you off. Gearing it to ease the instant wheelie tendency would make it faster top end where it was already stupid fast. Not safe for kids but lots of fun for 1/2 drunk men. Full drunk would kill you
I just checked for all you Salt Flat Rats,,, if your motorized vehicle does not go over 30 mph, you will NOT need a OHV sticker,,, so all your vintage minibikes are exempt,, unless you add a Harbor Freight screaming 10 hp motor
Taking time off from the roadster to build one. Mine is a newer Murray ,and I have a Predator clone for it. Advance flywheel key, header ,rejeted carb and should be ready for paint next week. BTW it's a Hemi. LOL
Hate to go off topic for my first post on this forum, but I really need to hear about Roadster1927's midget racer, just got one that could be it's twin. Raced hard and hacked a bit, but all there. Crosley running gear. Anybody know anything about 'em? Will post pics when I figure out how.
