    READ...
    MY...
    LIPS... (ok, well, you know..)

NO DOLLEY. No flat towing. No hokey ass bullshit that'll either fuck up the car or get me sued, PERIOD. I want to catch the pieces as the wind blows them off... you know, for later reattachment?

Killer built this thing, remember? [IMG]

Ima look into the alamo deal... Find out if they come with a hitch receiver, light-plug...I live by an airport, theres an assload of car rental places here. If they know you're gonna return back to here, they love you. I rented a cavalier, drove to mexico for the weekend, and I was only out $29.

I can swing the rental of the two myself, its the bogus mileage that would kill me. That, and the fact that extra people pushing the car up onto the trailer may be needed.

Burnt-up, another thing to try would be to call somebody with a roll back and get a quote to haul it one way. use the term flat rate for one way transport. If you call someone located up that way, they may cut you a deal.

    BAD news...

only one company will rent a fullsize PU for a flat rate, but there is NO hitch receiver on it, towing forbidden...

I dont find this surprising, this is california, anyone in business is deathly afraid of getting sued.

budget, ryder, no-name mom& pops, uhaul is still the best deal. which isnt a deal.

Has ANYONE defeated the odometer on a uhaul?

    ANYBODY want a hundred bucks?

Ok, then dont laugh at me when you see me with a jap chopper in paso...

Missing Paso with this car wont suck so bad, whats gonna get to me is not being able to drag it at the antique nats the following weekend...

Shrinkwrap it and rent a trailer. Are you going to paint it Radio Flyer red?

When I bought it from you, Mr. C.R.S., you said you'd deliver! [IMG]

You got my hundred bucks I'm getting back???

I've been trying to line this shit up since november, or before... I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and spend over 300 fucking dollars and rent the goddamned uhaul...

Plan, theres no way in fuck we are gonna drive ONE truck from San Clemente to Hesperia and half a dozen places between in one 24 hour period...

I wanna know where the heck you can rent a truck with a hitch that doesnt charge mileage...

I'm pissed cause I'm at work, and this shit is more irritating... why the hell am I not allowed to get drunk at work?

umm could you ride your bike down there and then rent a truck and trailor and pull everything back and return the truck and stuff at a drop off were you are?

then you only have to pay for renting it one way??

i've heard that you can remove the instrument cluster and put electric tape over the spot where the speedo/odometer feed goes in,if it's just the mileage fee you're worried about...

Big fuckin differnce between "I've HEARD that you can..." and "I fucken defraud those shitheads all the time, piece of cake."

According to yahoo maps... which is not know for being the most fuckin accurate thing out there, the mileage comes out to 86.2 miles... nicely within the range of my AAA-plus.

If the driver doesnt want to take a "project car" then we'll bribe him with money. If that doesnt work, we'll bribe him with beer. Just in case THAT all doesnt work, I'll bring along a 19 or 20 yo girl wearing a bikini top... or two or three... they can ride in the towtruck...

    This shit is happening Friday...

It has been my experience with tow truck companies that they honestly don't care (to a certain point, as long as its not on fire with several dead bodies inside) what they are towing/moving. But, I'm sure your driver will appreciate the bikini clad women!

Good luck, I would help ya out if I had a truck, or a trailer.

san clemente isnt in the bones for this trip... ill be using my 57 once the wiring is finished.

low springs was going to pick up the frame im getting off you and he offered to go to hesparia and get the mod as well.

only thing you may need is a longer hitch... but his 4X4 shouldnt be much taller than my buddies fullsize dodge truck which we used to get a uhaul trailer..

iam hitting him up for you as well... but $100 plus gas might be more realistic for him.

called budget about their RENTAL trucks... not commercial vehicles.. they are phasing them out and no longer available... i had more questions but the lady was being a bitch and im still at work.. no patience for lazy bitches....
