Well you already talk to me (of course it is hard not to) and I talk to about one of everyone so I am going to have to say you got a pretty big network already. Yep I am going to have to agree with you on that one, I would have to sell plasma if that one crossed my path for 500 bucks.
I bought the International off the trailer from a scrap guy headed to the scrap yard for $650. With some paint, carb kit, oil, coolant, fuel, filters, ujoint etc I'm in it $1075. The 59 Apache is a recent score. Runs, drives, all lights work, dash original with no molestation. Scored some white walls and going to drop it, paint the steelies and mabey wash it with CLR. . .
here's a 1963 dodge big block that i bought sight unseen for $100.00, scared the crap out of me when i first saw it, i thought what did i get myself into. after a little rattlecan love and the parts in the trunk i got $2800.00 for it.
Here's the old parts chaser again. Bought for 800.00 4 years ago. New tires, belts, hoses and a new MC (already had new brakes on it) puts me in at around 1350-1400. Came with extra painted grille and front bumper. Starts everytime. 48 Poncho
$2.00 The seller wanted it gone to make way for a greenhouse. When I picked it up I also threw in a $25 Home Depot gift card to help get the greenhouse started.
$1500 two years agofor the pair of 48's and some additional parts Sold the one on the trailer for $900 and other parts that came with them for $700 That puts me in the one on the rollback truck in the 1st picture for a negative $100 After spending an additional $800 I ended up with this.
$400 for this four door... and $200 for whats left of this Merc coupe.... and here they both are as of a couple of weeks ago...
$1100.00 then he backed into my wife's car. So I got another $100 back in my hand Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
This is how it looked when I bought it,,solid truck but no drivetrain...$700.00 4 years ago,,found on ebay in minneapolis area
Location definitely plays a part because there are better cars in the Southwest due to more room and dryness.
Bought my 52 GMC pickup for $500 2.5 years ago. Complete(?) but not running. Had about 8 inches of dirt inside on floorboard. But solid metal all around, just some dents. Had to borrow some wheels and tires to get it loaded up, the ones on it would not hold air. No title, but got that with about $350 cost for bonded title here in NM. Now it has Jag suspension ($500 86 Jag donor with a rod knocking TPI SBC and 700R4 swap - is there a theme here?), a 350 carbed SBC with the 700R4, and some junkyard or new parts to complete the build so far. Pic is of as-recieved GMC and Jag donor.
Got the basis for my roadster for $200 plus almost all the parts to build it and I'm still under a grand!! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I bought this 32 Ford pickup cab for 300. Sold it to a fellow HAMB'er for not much more than that and then he sold it shortly after that.
Here is the back of it, everything was loaded in it when I picked it up so you'll have to imagine the fenders. Yes all the trim, hood sides, grills present and accounted for even the flat head 6
I bought a 1960 Cadillac Coupe De Ville with A/C, complete car, no rust, nothing missing. I went to the guys house to look at a '59 Cad (it was a rust bucket), but he said the the '60 wasn't worth anything because it didn't run or have a title. I had it running the next day. I had a clear title in my hands withing 3 weeks after buying it. Cost: $1000
I love the slope of that bustle, the one in my '38 is almost verticle, that slope really smooths the rear of the car. A lot of difference in the two and with the rear fenders that one is going to be really smooth.
I had the fenders bolted on at one point but never ended up with picture of it. I liked the looks of it though. I love that 38, great car. Mine sits on a body dolly now
