Went to Beatersville, but watching the replay, now. (It isn't on live, here)

Good to see Danica not win ( again, yawn) It will be great next year when she moves from IRL to NASCAR- both series will be better. On top of that, Dale Earnhardt Jr will become the 2nd most overrated driver in Sprint Cup, and Marco Andretti will lose all challenges for being the whiniest ***** in the IRL.

I'd LOVE to see a woman win the 500, but not THAT woman.

Isn't bathurst a fight betwen Holden, and Ford fans with a race going on in the background? I've been wanting to make it to Australia to see it.

  8. Pretty much, over the years it has developed into a beer drinking contest between Ford and Holden (GM) fans. The fight ranges from who has the best camp site, the coolest car, can drink the most beer.........
Apparently there is some sort of motor race held during all this??
You need to get here for the Great Race as Bathurst is known as, it is truly one of Motor Sports greatest spectacles. Even the track itself is something to see!

    Doc.

It's cool there is thread on this, I got to go with work. Our Team Hot Wheels truck made the jump and has world the world record 332ft. I got to watch the race and was about 150 ft away from the rookie that hit the car, I was actually pointing at him as I was saying "there's the lead car" and then it hit the wall.

Is there a website with info on how the ramp was built?

I don't think there is a website on the ramp, I'll see what info I can dig up.

It took about 2 weeks to build that ramp, all scaffolding and a giant vinyl door and foam knobs.

The 1:1 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker was there also
