    A friend of mine in SoCal worked with Tex Collins on some of his earlier Allison-powered projects, but Tex died before the Quad Al was finished. AFAIK, it never ran.

    Correct . . . If you watch the video til the very end, the narrator (Brian Lohnes) explains that the car never moved under its own power.

    Always enjoy info about Jim Lytle. I first learned about him from the '61 HRM coverage of his awesome '32, and then used those pictures in a HS drafting class enlarging them several times. Good job HEMI!
