Actually, the 12 spokes that say AMERICAN on them were made by Halibrand. They say AMERICAN on them because they were only to be sold to AMERICANS. Halibrand made slightly different ones for most of the different countries, even Poland, only they were based on a 1 spoke design and were prone to breaking.

Hahaha.. this reminds me of that scene in Dont Mess with the Zohan where the guy is selling a none name brand dvd player and he says "It has Sony Guts!".. lame but yeah.. I wouldn't touch those wheels dude..

  12. As all have said, they are Americans, but more importantly they are considerably overpriced. He can keep them for a while at that price.

  13. I agree that Halibrand didn't make 12 spokes, at least I never saw any when I had a big collection of these back in the 80's. I did have National Engineering's (also in 10 spoke) I still have a pair that are 15" I think, I'll have to look, kinda weird size and hub.

Damn, National Engineering - I loved those wheels back in the '70s. You just do not see them any more - ever. Never thought I would wax nostalgic for the '70s - the decade of ultimate tackiness and bad taste:D.
