Has anyone ever made a list of all the bulbs and their number when doing the 12 volt conversion? i am going to be finihsing the swap this weekend and i was thinking of running to the parts store before i get to where the car is to save some time. the car is a half hour away from me. if i have to i will just take all the bulbs out and bring them with me and buy what i need. but if someone has a list, or knows which bulbs i need i can save a trip down. thanks!!!
They use number 53's and number 57's in the dash, best bet is NAPA ask at the counter I think you can still get them in a 10 pack card also for taillight and turn signals use the 1157's as they are brighter than the 1034's.Or if you want to get creative when I did my interior in blue I and rewired I used blue LED lights in the dash,There are also 1157's available in LED which are a big improvement over the old style bulbs you will need to use the matching electronic flasher with those.
Make sure you take the smaller dash bulbs with you so you know the little prongs are in the correct position . Then you can size them up so you know they will fit . I think the difference between the dash bulbs is the brightness of the filament . The 1034 bulb , I think is better than the 1157 bulbs . Both will work . Don't forget the overhead & interior bulbs , back up lights , the tag light , trunk light , under the hood light & glove box light if you have them ! Those are the ones most people forget ! Jim
