Our spring has been very slow to arrive up in the PNW, but a couple weeks ago it was sunny, so got the 34 out. It sits all winter and after a prime, always fires right up. I recently went back and read the thread of when I bought this car as a project over 11 years ago. That seems crazy to me. I drove it 800 miles to bonneville with my girlfriend. I married that girl and drove away from our wedding in it. My kids have run out of gas with me in it…my daughter is still terrified we will run out of gas if we take it anywhere. Just an old car- full of memories. beaters forever
I know how you feel. My little 27 roadster is a member of the family. My son and I have had a million father son moments in it, I have leant it to friends for thier weddings, it has earned its place in the stable, just as your roadster has. Some cars are just good to keep around.
What a great thread. Now you’ve gone and made me wish I was home driving mine. Can’t wait til May. Great memories indeed.
You are very fortunate to own a great time machine! Good times! Old times! Any time! Don't ever sell it! Machines of that quality, deserve to be kept in the family, so it can live on and make new memories, of future good times to be experienced in it!
I'm thinking that the fenderless photos are from it's Debut at Vantage. Maybe my favorite of the car that day Tucked away on a shady side street at Deuce days NW in 2019. URL=https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/w71/mr48chev/Chris_34.jpg?width=960&height=720&fit=bounds][/URL]
Here’s the first time I ran out of gas with the B. We were about five miles short of the gas station. 2006.
Can't believe that build was over 11 years ago! I remember excitedly following along as it came together.
