Clicking on and enlarging the pic, it appears the roof section is resting in place, and the trunklid in the open position, with both trunklid sections present.

Crazy to think something this old is available for picking parts off of in 2024. Someone please take advantage of this...

 

Was watching the latest episode of VGG, and he stopped by this place in Kansas. All stk is 1980 and under. Lots of potential projects from what he showed.

It is an intact skyliner hardtop convertible with the top secured and the rear opening decklid up, no seats , 2 barrel y block

 

I took the windshield from the 56 without the hood, the other one is junk. For about 100 bucks I got windshield, interior and exterior windshield trim, a bag of misc fasteners, ash tray, horn ring, horn contacts, rear new mirror, not too bad

 

Hard to beat that for a hundred bucks.

 

Thanks to this thread I now have a windshield.

 

This is why I say WE are the true environmentalists! Good save!

 

Down here it's just LKQ. I can't see them giving more then $1500 for a car (and that's a new car smog buy back) and you always need a title (no lost title cars).

LKQ is buying up junk yards and chrome shops across the country. Just wait, prices will go through the roof once they have a monopoly.
