12v conversion?

    In terms of the ignition what needs to be done to the points condenser ect? The car in question is a 1952 Plymouth with a flathead 6 the person before me did some sort of *******ized 12v deal and I cant seem to get spark.

    Points and condenser should be OK as is, you will have to add a resistor in series with the coil (or use a 12V coil with built in resistor). Some 12V cars shorted the resistor on start to give a hotter spark. Are you getting juice to the coil? If so then when you ground and unground the other side of the coil, you should get a spark.
