OK, so I was at a vintage parts store and asked if the guy happened to have a set of 14" 5/4.5 wheels for my 57 Ford wagon. He checked and yes he did-maybe even a fifth. So he brought it up stairs and I measured the rim width at 14.5". Got them home and put them up next to the wheels I have on the car and they are 13" wheels. I forgot to measure from the flat where the bead rides-my fault. So, what would these have gone to? I will probably put them on the block as I am looking for 14's. Thanks, Mike
Agree My 1966 Falcon Futura w/289" V8 came with 13"x 5". When the OEM tires wore out, I upgraded to 14"x 6" Ford stationwagon wheels. IIRC, we ran DR70 tires. Even ran a set of 15" takeoffs for as long as they lasted. jack vines
From Google AI Overview (not known to be infallible) 13-inch, 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm) bolt pattern wheels were primarily used on early Ford compact and intermediate vehicles in the 1960s, including 1965 Mustangs (V8), 1960–1961 Econolines, and 1962–1964 Fairlanes. These steel rims were also common on early Ford Falcons. Key vehicles using this specific 13" 5-lug setup include: Ford Mustang (1965 V8 models) Ford Fairlane (1962–1964) Ford Econoline (1960–1961)
63 1/2 sprint falcons probably all the V8 s had one in the trunk of my 57 ford carried for several years as a spare found out it would not fit over the brake drum
I had a set that came from the factory on my 63 1/2 Falcon Hardtop with the 260. I later changed them to the GT wheels off of a ‘68 Mustang that were 14”
I have had a set for sale for over 3 years at swap meets. Nobody would give me $20.00 for a set of 5. I finally s****ped them...
