    Boy, I'm glad to hear this, as the engine I have was supposed to be a fresh rebuild, removed from the truck because the transmission blew up. I had it on my run stand, and it started right up and ran beautifully. I ran it for a half hour at 2000 rpm, and it kept steady oil pressure at 60 psi and maintained at 160 degrees. I thought I was going to have to do something with the valves, but now I guess not. It sounds like a cruiser to me.:)

    I already have the manifold exhaust heat block off plates from T.R. Waters. They seem pretty simple to make your own, but I like patronizing the members here (especially at $6.95).
