A Stude convertible is kind of a rare car to cut in half.

Thought about doing it to this but I don't need another project.

$5 K when you could get a nice running one for <$15K. Maybe the second 0 was a misprint?

Apparently some people have an abundance of time. Don't think I ever sat around and thought- I will buy a Studebaker convertible, cut in half length wise, paint it titty pink, and lean it against the fence line.

Its easier to cut a rust bucket in 1/2 then it is to try to save it. The added advantage is once its against the fence it will look great until you sweep it up and throw it away, or some fool stops by and offers you 3, 4, or 5 grand for it.

Sell one like that, sure could motivate a guy to cut another one in 1/2....

Several years ago I had 2/3 of a Mullins trailer. No lid. While driving around Albq. N.M. I spotted a straight lid sitting outside an artist shop. He had taken a complete Mullins apart & made an artsy turtle out of this. The head was a pair of Honda gas tanks, welded pattern for the shell, something else for the legs. For sale, only $2500. I have never found another lid. I went fiberglass.

There’s a guy here in Newkirk that makes bars out of old rusted out IH scouts and early Broncos . He builds a rectangular frame with trailer hubs . Removes the floors . Has ice chest under the hood . Has a wooden bar top on 2 sides . He gets big bucks out of them .

It’s either worth twice as much or half as much depends on how you feel about it .

I'm seeing lots more of these at the swaps. There are some scrappers on YouTube that do this to some very nice cars. They try and sell but they are in the middle of Kansas and just nobody commits so they cut off the front and back, scrap the rest.

A few towns over from me there is a guy that has old campers and old trucks has an old panel truck side above his garage door with something written on it. i am always driving so i haven't been able to focus long enough on it to see what it says.

there was a metropolitan on a rotisserie for sale on cl. i was thinking about buying because it was cheap but i really have enough for my lifetime so i let it go thinking someone that can get to it faster than me can have fun with it. well that same metro is showing up on cl again but now it is cut down the center. i know it is the same one because i recognize the rotisserie in the background.
