:cool:Just found out about this site by accident when looking up some other car nut guys. Saw the thread about "1320 Express co." car club in Everett Wash., from back in 2010, and decided that this might be a good way to keep informed on how all the rest of the club members might be doing!!
As a founding member of the "1320", sure would be interested in how everyone is doing from the club, where you are, and if you still are interested in the cars and people that made our club one of the best in the state!

Feel free to contact me via thread or e-mail.

    All the best to you,
    Hiway Star

    Hiway Star,

As founding member you may be able to help me out.
I am looking for Ken Liden's 1938 Willys Race truck. Ken was the owner of Liden Engines in Everett and builder of the truck.
It was met. green with gold lettering and named the Iron Toy. He sold the truck in the 80's.
Ken was my uncle and passed away 3 months ago. I would love to find his old truck.
I have an ad on Seattle Craigslist that shows a photo of it.
    Any info may help.
    Thank you,
    Saliden

Looks like he hasn't been back on here since he joined up almost three years ago so don't be surprised if he doesn't respond. Good luck finding your Uncle's truck and sorry for your loss.

Hey Saliden, Sorry about not getting back to you. That's life as we get older... time waits for no one.
I have no idea what happened to Kens truck. In fact, I only saw it once at his shop. Good luck finding it. The only thing I can suggest is if you can get the vin number from some family member, you could check with DMV to see if it's still licensed, or has been recently in the last ten years or so.
    Sincerely,
    Bill / Hiway Star.

Bill / Hiway Star. You asked a few months past who I am. The letters Lgs are mine - Les Stacey. Hal Stonier and I had a place out on the south end of town on Commercial Ave. While working on our cars you were kind enough one day to come by in your Pontiac, black with the tunnel ram sticking through the hood. Little John was often over too with his Ford. A lot of great memories and great drag racing times.
