I don't think just filling a gap will fix the problem, just considering the bolt is suppose to hold pressure to the manifold to seal the gasket. What motor are you dealing with? The ls motors had issues with the manifold bolts breaking, and manifold cracking. They have external repair kits for those. Something like that would probably be a better fix if available.
Where the ls has the issue in breaking the head off the bolt. That kit just uses a bolt. Some already have a bolt there with a welded nut at the end. So you can crank it down and restablish pressure.
Fix it right or fix it again.....and again......and...... Tap it to the nest larger size that has enough meat to hold a stud. It might be the next SAE size if possible or the next larger Metric if there is too big a size increase. Put some locktite in the hole if necessary when screwing the stud in.
we do these at my shop... usually they are broke bolts... but either waay, the manifold has to come off.. beings the bolt hole is stripped tells me someone botched the broke bolt removal.... pretty hard to strip the bolt putting it in. correct.. 450 and its done... or mickey mouse it and still have the exhaust leak..also it's a one day job...
