heres the only PICTURES I could come up with, this IS the CAR after we put it on the frame..
I would guess that this is the 90's sometime,, are the JAMS still PAINTED this color?
We then LATER on PEARLED the DASH a WHITE,,,,,
I think the FIREWALL will still be RED... the CHOP was a*****BOXES SPEEDSHOP original....

This was an EARLIER version, we were finishing the ROOF, the REAR WINDOW was put in UPSIDE down, cause we felt that it FLOWED better, (WE WERE DUMB KIDS) notice the JASON JESSE pants SAG..
the VERSION you have is WHEN we RECUT the rear window out and flipped it back.....
    notice gas PRICES

Germ, thanks a lot for the photos. sorry i never called you back, that's my fault. what car is the rear window out of? if i remember correctly, the front windshield is an oldsmobile right? the firewall and door jambs are still red. i really like the dash, the white looks awesome. good call on that decision.

i just want to know what you guys did to the car and what custom parts you guys put on it since Brad was so secrective when i bought it. btw, i'd love to have a*****BOX t-shirt. that sounds frickin cool. later man.

the car had been in the WRECKTUMS family for YEARS, it sat on this GUYS side yard FOR 5 or 6 years,,, he had PLANS it was a BODY no DOORS, and NOTHING in fact I have a PICTURE of the CAR when we were 17 years old or so,maybe 18..........................
we had another CAR it was a coupe and we cut it up, then decided to MAKE one GOOD chevy... out of all the pieces............... the CAR is LEGIT but the VIN was changed,,, CHECK the FRAME,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

the DETAILS seem to ELUDE me, I just remember the*****S we use to BANG in the LOFT of the OLD custom SHOP........and all the WEED we smoked during those times,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
the REAR window is STILL CHEVY, but your VERSION is AFTER we cut it BACK out and FLIPPED it the RIGHT way,,,, we THOUGHT flipping the window would flow better......................

POST a PICTURE of your REAR WINDOW,,,,,,,,
Yeah the DASH should be WHITE, brad SHOT the DASH in BARRIS' old PAINT booth,,,,.......
on one of the trips,,, I remember we use to BREAK front SHOCK mounts on the*****ing 710 going like 100 miles an hour in the RAIN..........

We also METAL FLAKED the ROOF, and scalloped it, but that HAS since been changed.........
When we FIRST built the CAR it was 235 CHEVY powered with trip power, A REALLY fast and HOT motor,,,,,, had all the DRESSINGS and DOO-DADS, and GO FAST on it, the 6cylinder came from an old MODIFIED racecar,,,,,
it's whereabouts now escape me, but it was from a FAMOUS inliner car,,,,,,
GARY COPE sold us the PIECES to PUT it all together.........

the CHEVY was changed to a SMALL BLOCK during the times at the tattoo shop in NEWPORT beach when we were building the GALAXIE that i heard KID ROCK now owns I think..........

A four door impala comes into the MIX, but thats BAD BLOOD with us NOW,,,,,,,,

hope I can give you more INFO, I been RELIVING my CHILDHOOD with my BEST friend who moved away since you POSTED that*****ing car,,,,,,

    HAHAHAHA more to come

germ, thanks for that little history lesson. that gives me some details. if you don't remember some stuff, that's cool. i know it was a long time ago, so don't worry about that.

i'm just a little miffed because i've been searching for '49 parts not knowing that i was supposed to be looking for '51. but, it's no big deal.

funny story, before i knew it was a '51, i found a guy that has the beltline trim that i haven't been able to find. he notifies me that it's on ebay today, now i can't buy it because it's for the wrong car. so my search for '51 beltline trim starts. thanks again GERM. see ya.

before i forget, that HOZAC picture is hilarious. the pearl white '51 dash is in the car now. the only way i can tell a '49 from a '51 is the grille and rear fenders. and the way this car is now looks like a '49(because of the grille) with '51 rear fenders. but if you say its a '51 then ok i guess. but i know that brad didn't want to tell me what it was. so, thanks for the info.

Germ, i would take some pictures but my dad has the digi-cam. he's drag racing in AZ for the weekend. but once he gets back either sunday or monday i'll take some.

sorry for asking so many questions, but is the whole front end from a '49? meaning fenders, hood, etc? thanks so much for the info, i really do appreciate it.

I dig yer post, Germ, it's neat seeing pics from Back In The Day, and to see how it is now. Am currently trying to piece together the bio on my truck, get info on previous owners, figure out who did what and why. Some of it good, some of it WTF. Post more documents- just 'cause it ain't digitally clear don't make it boring. Which one are you in the junkyard pic?

Ok, since he's dodging the question, he's the W. AXL ROSE impersonator in the center... recall, he said sumthin about late 80's...
