15 lbs solenoids...

    how well enough do they work? Would they be strong enough on a shoebox? Thanks...

    Hey! did I see you in the parking lot at UVSC? About 2 oclock one fat guy one short guy and an old burned out body man was four hours into the swap meet and show. Wasn't sure if it was you. Goatie was a bit longer than in your photos.
    If it was you Howdy. Oh, by the way 15 pounds should be fine if the door opens and shuts without any drag,

    i would go with a heavier soleniod, i have 15lbs. in my 29, and one of them burnt out, 15lbs. for a heavy door like that woulnt be good.

    I just installed the 15 lb ones in my 37, but that was also with bear claws, which open easy.

    For stock latches I think the stronger ones would be a better choice. Look on e-pay and you can find stuff for cheap. Many people here have recommended to use old GM door lock solenoids or the starter solenoids from Geo Metro's for real strong pull.
