Hey guys, looking for a different set of front wheels for my roadster. I'm looking for 15x5 or 15x6 (5 on 4.5" pattern) plain steel wheels, but I need 4 or 4.5" backspacing to correct the excessive positive scrub radius that I currently have. I've searched around but can't find anything close to this. The new wheel manufacturers don't seem to offer this combo. Suggestions?

I'm thinking that the 91 Dodge Grand caravan I had had 15 inch wheels and have a real positive offset.
I'd hunt down a 91/93 Grand Caravan with plain steel wheels (lots of ugly holes) and check one out. they are either 15x6 or 15x6.5.
When I bought the 91 all wheel drive Grand Caravan we had it had Either Mopar or IH rear wheel drive wheels that looked like reverse rims with snow tires on them. The bugger was a hot rod parts mogitter though.
Find a 91/95 with 15 inch wheels and a 2.5. 1991 Dodge Caravan wheel and tire sizes, bolt pattern and tire pressure. (tirewheelguide.com)

  4. i am looking at off the shelf smoothies now that are 5 with 3.5" back space. Be hard to get a 5" wheel with much more back space than that. You may contact wheel smith or wheel vintiques to see if they will weld a set up with more back space than that. Be worth your dime to find out.

  6. Call Wheel Smith and tell them what you need. Best wheels out there and they will build to spec. But like @twenty8 said, make sure it doesn't make contact issues with steering arms or radius rods/ split wishbones.

Find a spare or front wheel drive with the correct pattern. My wife’s 2015 Honda Civic wheels have the same pattern as our 56 Ford. 5 on 4-1/2” ….who knew.

They are very proud of the custom offset steel wheels…… I use 16”x5” with a custom backspace on my LSR roadster.
