Technical 17" Tires - What are you running

Gents, I'm thinking that part of my long-ish term plan for my 28 Roadster is to swap out the 21" wheels and tires for a set of 17".

Those of you running 17" wheels, what are you running for tires?

 

Firestone 5.50x17 front and firestone 7.50x17 Balloon tire rear

 

Hitchhiker, Can you post a pic? I have 17" front and 18" rears but am interested in 17s all around. I like that they are a bit different than the 16"ers and look a little more prewar.

Before anyone asks. They're 33-34 wire wheels with original Lyons 17 inch wheel covers.

Sorry to take this sideways, but I’ve never seen 17” Lyons. Can you post a couple closeup pics? Do they have the stainless ring like the 16’s do?

 

450's &600/650's it's a B motor if that matters...I know, it's needs to be A to be correct,.. but it's got a 39 trans and halibrand rear so way too for gone anyways..

 

I also have a set of black 16's with new 600 tires that I might try on to see if I like the look.. if I do i'll take a couple pics...

 

I think I would try 16's on that car, but only because I have a set...lol...gangster looking car..... did 16's and big white on my model A....I like whites on colored cars... but blacks on black cars...weird huh... I never got my macs catalog, I think the grille is wrong... or someone told me so, but it also has the wrong B motor and 39 trans, and someone put an electric overdrive...looks like ive ruined another one...kinda hard when all the cars look the same to figure what parts go where.. also found out, which I didn't know till I went to cars and coffee... my car has to many doors...and i mounted my carb upside down
