I too like the old stockers. I have a 36 slantback sedan that I drive almost every weekend and it never fails to bring a smile to my face. It's a real hoot and other folks seem to like it too. Snipe (another Kurt)
We have a get together of steamers here about every other year. Only about 7-8 show up, but there isn't exatly alot of them around. There is also a T&A get together in the park every year. All stockers. 80% driven in. I enjoy driving behind one watching the wheels wobble. I like when things aren't just perfect.
My favorite is meeting the old man driving the old stocker and just listening to how it was back when both were young. It happens alot less now.
Yeah....I can appreciate a nice stocker too. Especially an original car or one that was restored a few years back....before antique car restoration became perfection. Whatever it is, I'd much rather seen it driven...than trailered and pampered.
