'Need Louvers', in all honesty, I didn't skim. Nor did I surf through what others had to say; as close as I get to that, now, is to call the man-upstairs the 'Big Kahuna'. After perusing the snaps, I thought there was a better way to go. The idea that more is better, when you have more to start with is reasonable enough, and I don't have to feel like I was crying in the wilderness because the pictures of the street versions of full-fendered T's is proof, if there is such a thing, that using what you got makes a heck of a lot of sense. More especially, if you're going to drive it, because there are very basic reasons for fenders, and tops. Even though, I can give as many for tossing 'em as you can. I always liked Norm's Tub for the restraint shown. The black one, above, is one of my modern favorites, and I even scored an Iron Duke after reading an account of the build. I've never seen the silver one, though it's very tasty, to me. Somewhere, in a book of photographs of times past, is one of a group of young people zipping down the road in a tub. That fragment of time saved by the photographer bestows on them the quality of life that comes when friends are together having fun --- as can happen in a tub. Cuss my luck for ending up with '25 roadster and no fenders, even though I'll take what I got and smile, because all T's are way cool. And, the possibilities of articulating another version of the hot rod, using them as the basis, is a wonderment.

Ya, I hit post on that and though it might have sounded a bit harsh. The suggestion had come up several times by then to do it full fendered, and I just jumped a bit, no foul truly intended.

We are on the same page with tubs and fenders in general though. It took me so damn long to collect up my sets that it's just sort of a crying shame to see one that is largely all together get parted down and cut up. At least out here in the west it's still pretty easy to pick up enough sheet metal laying on the ground in dumps and stuff to collect enough stuff to put a touring front half together, quickly.

Mote full fendered inspiration... Again, visualize any of these as a touring. scan0017.jpg scan0019.jpg scan0020.jpg scan0021.jpg scan0022.jpg

A bit more full fender inspiration, a 26 but still a T tub. JW

That's my favorite T. That's what I'd build with your body.
