I like where this build is going, I'm subscribed. That mol***es does an amazing job! I have one question though, what are you going to do with all of it when you are done cleaning all your parts? Keep up the progress, and congrats on kicking the cancer sticks!

From what I've been told, the effectiveness of the mixture only lasts for about a month or so. Then you dump it...it's non toxic. I'll be using this method in the future...no warping or any other damage to the metal at all, and truly removes all the rust.

    Cool project!

Yes i here its non toxic as well..Also,they feed this **** to farm animals so its most likely delicious.I was planning on pouring it in the gutter or on my lawn.I'm pretty white trash like that.

But for the next round of stuff ill use those big 300 gallon containers. They have a valve on the bottom so draining will be easy.

If anyone local wants one feel free to come get one.I paid $20 for both, but i thought i was getting one(my Spanish isn't so good).I just really don't need 2.

I got that rocket engine freed up pretty easily with some pb blast.Only took me a few hours..lol.Im planning on doing a poor man rebuild.new rings gaskets and paint.

Thanks mate!..I'm guna finish stripping the engine tomorrow and hopefully get some sanding discs and start sanding the frame rails and knocking out the rivets.I would have did the mol***es treatment to the frame rails too,but they dont fit in anything...less i dug a trench and lined it with tarp..

(Those blue tarps **** by the way.If you're thinking about doing that. They leak)

Patrick I would hope you dont just put gaskets on it and run it there is a lot of loose gunk in that lifter valley that will end up in the oil pan and kill your oil pump imho you should clean that up and drop the oil pan clean it and oil pump screen just my .02 . got my mol***es going this weak. And for gods sake's leave the cancer stick alone, my dumb *** wife did it till she has cancer now and still cant stop." its worse than cocaine"good luck with your build.

    Def subscribed.

I am very interested in the mol***ses as a rust remover. Can someone explain this more.
what type, were do you get it, the ratio of mol***es and whatever you mix it with. Does it remove paint. I typically use air craft stripper but it makes a mess of the garage. T

Yep about 5 to 1..Its not very scientific though. On my last batch my tank leaked about 15 gallons or more and i just filled it back up with water.Still working. Not leaking anymore though.

Its called feed mol***es.You can buy it from feed stores. They usually ask you what its for.I guess potheads pour this stuff in they're soil?Anyways,The lady at my local feed store calls it liquid mol***es.

It does not remove paint.only rust. And the cold weather slows the process.

Theres a good thread on this already. That's where i got the idea. It's pretty simple though.Get a container, fill 1/5 with mol***es and the rest with water.let it sit for a few weeks(for heavy rust).
