1923 Model T Fordor wood. How to replace?

    My father in law has his late father’s 1923 Fordor. It is as original as it gets. His father put a new top on it and most of the interior is sorted from Lebanon Bonney but it is very much unrestored. The wood structure is mostly good but center hinge in both front doors is a little punky and some of the wood in the sills isn’t good but most is and the car still sits straight on the chassis.

    how do we replace or repair what is needed? He wants to keep it original. He has not ran the car in a few years but it turns over with compression so it should fire right up once the ignition and carburation is sorted

    Look at post no 6 on the Huppmobile site. There is info on an Epoxy resin that can fix weak spots in wood
     
  3. You can get new wood from Snyders antique auto parts. Go to the search function, plug Model T and body wood.
