I don't know if this has been posted before, but I was just blown away by this at yesterday's Corona Del Mar Concours d'Elegance - this belongs to Michael F. Harrah who is a commercial property developer in Santa Ana, CA. To me this a 'take no prisoners' hot rod. Period perfect in almost every detail.

I don't care what Ettorie Bugatti said about them, that is on GREAT LOOKING CAR! That model has the 3 connecting rod style cam drive doesn't it?

Not sure about the cam drive but it used a magnesium alloy called Elektron for the crankcase and 4 valves per cylinder. Eight litres (or 487 ci) for a straight six means the pistons must have been huge - bore was 4.3"!

I like the blower, but are only found on the 4.5. This has an engine almost twice as big so I can appreciate that just as much!
