History 1925 Chrysler acceleration

I just thought some of you would get akick out of this magazine ad from 1925.

 

Wow! 5 to 25 mph in 8 seconds flat!! Hold onto your hat, Nellie.

 

Way cool! Thanks for posting this. What not many folks know is that back in the 20's and 30's, acceleration times were always done in high gear only, no speed*****ing through the unsynchronized gears. Would be interesting what the times would be if they had a driver who was capable of running it (and double clutching it) through the gears.
