1925 MOPARTS

  1. I'm not gonna try and compete with you steady progress posters- I move too slow. But, I think with the beginnings of a frame, my pile of parts is starting to look like something.

I've decided to call it a Moparts. Moline tractor grille, 1925 Dodge cowl, 354 Chrysler Hemi, 37 Plymouth front axle and a 9" Ford (oops). To bad I don't have an 8 3/4" mopar rear. I guess I can swap that in later. Anybody want to trade for a Ranchero rear with posi?

I'm going to step the front frame rails, cut the stock front Plymouth springs, flip them and mount quarter elliptic style. I think stepping the frame will give me a clean mounting point for the spring, lower the chassis and strengthen the front for the Hemi.

I haven't figured the rear kickup, gonna wait for the front and depends on whether I use the model A crossmember or not.
I made the frame to follow the shape of the cowl. I'm thinking of a speedster style seat back body. Also a short roll bar mounted at the top of the kickup. With no body, I don't want another car ending up too far in my lap in an accident.
