Hi, I have a really rough 1926 or 27 Ford Sedan body sitting around. The cowl and rockers are pretty solid but the doors are gone and the roof are trashed. I have been thinking about cutting it down into an RPU, basically by moving the quarters up and turning them into doors, as well as filling in the rear wheel wells. I was thinking I would chop the windshield posts off and just capping the stanchions and running no windshield. Simple drag RPU (I got re-inspired by "the Cheater" http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=544376 ), but had drawn up a sketch a few month ago of something similar. Eventually I will swap to my '31 Coupe body, but until then I want something that is cheap, light, and simple. So anyways now that I am done rambling does anybody have any pics of 1926 or 27 Sedans cut down into RPU's at all?

What does your sedan body look like?
Wanna trade for this one? I have doors and a couple windshield frames too.

Here are some pics of it, like I said it is pretty rough. The passenger quarter that is off of it is actually in pretty good shape though.

if you ask me, dont RPU it, but that's my 2 cents.

Yeah, the back panel is there. That is the twisted up piece of metal hanging off of the back of it in the pictures.

It sounds like you've spent some time thinking about the RPU idea. But who needs opening doors on a roadster? My opinion, build it.

I would do a roadster p/u out of it. Ive been looking for some thing like that to do a RPU for two years now.

You could check out my build (link in sig).
Not a RPU, but a sedan to pick up.
    Might give you some ideas...

Here is a crappy pic of a quick sketch I did of this a few months back. Set back 327, Garrett turbo, TH400, Model A frame, solid mounted rear axle, cheater slicks, etc. The best part is I actually have most of the parts for this build...if it ever gets off the ground that is.

I have a real rusty 26 T (top of cowl rotted out and more) that I mocked up but it just has weired proportions to me. Waiting on a better body as I cant even weld to this one with out blowing holes in it.
