1926 whippet conundrum

    hey hambers; long time reader, first time poster.

    long story short,looking for advice/help with my whippet. here's the vent:

    this car has been part of me for so many years i feel paralyzed. i was with my dad when he bought it '77, and it hasn't evolved an inch since it became my birthright with his passing. problem is, it has become an albatross around my neck. i'm not a concourse guy and this car is too complete/good to hatchet up. but, that condition is worsening.
    circumstances have landed this rare weird beauty in the elements for the past year and a half and i can't let this continue any longer. action is necessary now.
    here's my plea:
    i'm not looking to have a parade car. i would love to set aside the oak spoked wheels and fit some dirt track wires. pull the fenders if necessary. i'd love to run the old 4 banger with a straight pipe. resurrect this gem of a whippet into a nw style, thirties era, modified runner.
    just looking for some dialog here and maybe some ideas of some creative/altruistic builders that can help preserve a really unique bit of history …
