Ooohhhh man! Don’t do a deuce shell! Do something other than a bellybutton 32 shell. I voiced my opinion that you should run a T shell already. A 28-9 shell would look good or a whippet. Do something different.
Biggest issue I am running into is finding a small enough radiator, My chopped A radiator is still too tall, my 64 mustang one is smaller but still not small enough. Might have to go the custom route.
Hope you sized the shell to an available radiator…and not have to source the radiator to fit the shell.
All I see is some surface rust on a few fasteners. Most all chassis and suspension components look to be powder coated. Do you know there will be a next guy? Looks like a keeper to me Ciao
Maybe, still looks Very nice to me . Such simple easy cool cars . Like I said it is a keeper , and I know it will be put back on the road the “right way “
Thank you to the positives comments on the car by most of the people. This will be my last post on the car, will not be continuing the build updates on here. I appreciate the support, but its no longer enjoyable for me to post on the car.
Well. That's disappointing. Gotta thicken your skin a bit to survive around here. Be a goose, man. Gotta let it all slide off. Whenever I see disparaging posts, I like to imagine that the person writing them is surfing the internet on their phone, sitting on the pot, trying to grunt one out for the last twenty minutes with no progress. I mean, I'd be pissy too. You know? I just chuckle and think to myself, "I get it man... I feel ya... been there many times." and go on about my day. Sure are an awful lot of constipated fellas on here sometimes, though.
The guy is posting his build and some of you guys for some reason post off hand comments. If you had a off topic negative post deleted, then you might want to think twice posting shit again. Keep it positive or don’t post. SBF001 I appreciate your build and would appreciate you to continue to post. Thanks.
Naysayers need to shut there pieholes. What’s it matter to you guys anyways? Let this guy build and post so we can see where this project goes.
I have to agree with the well wishers. It is your car so do what you want to do. Drive it and enjoy it as that is what it was built for.
Sbf, I absolutly love your car, I've wanted a little one like that for a long while now but it just has'nt worked out right. PLEASE keep posting your progress, pay no nevermind to the ninnys who have nothing nice to say. Keep on truckin!! Mitch.
I used the 28-29 shell for mine, I had to resize & shape it quite a bit to fit into the pinched frame and then had a radiator made. I felt the curved shoulders matched the Model T cowl better than the 30-31 shell, the lines seem to flow better.
Built this (mostly) '27 in the early eighties, using a '31 commercial shell. It's notched on the lower portion to fit around the perch mount and line up with the bottom of the frame. Sorry for the bad picture.
I appreciate all the kind comments regarding for me to continue to post my build, I will continue to post updates as I get stuff completed.
Sweet! Just to let you know your garage door handle is on upside down! Hahaha! I’m a finish carpenter and I see this done all the time. I just wanted to be someone to give you shit!
