Projects 1927 model T roadster build " Sweet Tea"

This thing is awesome!!!! Doing a really great job on it and using a great eye for parts and assembly. This build is gonna be cool to see come together.

 

It's great to find more updates in this thread. Watching this car come together takes me right back to building my 27/32. This car already has the look. Good stance, proportions and parts selection. At your height the dropped seat pan is going to help a lot. I agree, nothing kills the look of these cars more than when it looks like the driver is sitting on it, not in it. You're also going to thank yourself for mounting the engine up high. Because I used a '32 k-member my engine is down in the frame and ground clearance is tight. Haven't had a problem yet, though.

 

Great build! A '27 on '32 rails is on my "Bucket list", you're nailng the look.

Remind's me of my first 27, replaced 80% of the metal, your looking good.

 

i have enjoyed your build but in one shot there is a pickup with a 37 car grill i would like to know a little about it as i am building a 38 with the 37 car grill, fenderless as well, on the ground, should be getting the body back from the paint shop in a couple days, just not something you expect to see, i thought i had come up with something different just goes to show that i am not the first, working the metal for the hood was cool

I have subscribed and look forward to the updates as I have built a `26 mod which I later turned into a RPU and can relate to a lot of what you are doing. I was hoping you would comment on the `33 five window and the `34-`35 three window Chevy's that are in the background. No trying to take away from your great build thread just wondering what the plans are for them.

I'm building a '20. I cannot say enough about how bitchin' what you are doing is to me. I live in Cut Bank MT and around here that kind of stuff is like teaching algebra to a 2 yr. old. They just don't get it.

this means so much thank you. I'll try my best to teach algebra to all the 2yr olds on hear who still think bagging there 50s chevys, fords, Dodges, Plymouths is still traditional.

thanks for the references on wheelbase and such. Im channeling my 27 on a fabbed chassis of my design (i think), but I like how yours sits!

 

thank you very much. Yeah its a pretty short car. I really didnt have a set wheel base that I was going for I just knew what I wanted it to look like and I wanted everything to be neet and close. that way it looked more like a Weesner painting than a real life hot rod.
