Anyone looking for a race car project for the winter? I set some parts together that I recently picked up and it seems like this could be a pretty neat race car. I have more then enough projects going right now so figured I'd offer it for sale before I tuck it away in the barn. This is someone's stalled project made from a 26\7 touring body, shortened into a modified. There is a start of an aluminum dash that they were making with it also, laying inside in the photos. The frame is very sturdy box tubing. I'm not sure what engine they had planned but appears flathead or something with a hurst mount maybe. The front end they were making quarter elliptical springs with a 37 axle and extended wishbones with threaded bungs in the ends. Looks like new shackles and perches on the ends of the springs. There's a pair of A spindles with the axle. There's also part of a 40+ pedal assembly with old master cylinder that they were starting to make into something else. All of this is fairly rough, not really nice enough to be any kind of nice street car but could be made decent into a race car that you don't have to worry about. $1200 OBO ...
