Is that piss yellow? Sorry I couldn't help my self, I know it's Tony Nansy yellow. LOL I too dislikes the wheel, and hopes I still brings you a lot of happiness! But nice looking, does it feature a SBC? The most annoying part to me visually is to get a well propositioned (sp?) T-Tudor is that the cowl is way to small the roof is way to tall and the windows looks like they cane out of a green house. Sorry, I like then but they need help visually, just like me [emoji12] If you shop them they can end up better, but when they look good there ain't much room in side, but cowl look freakishly small still and is concave, and that doesn't help. I always wanted to see a Tudor T within a 28/29 cowl and a gentle top that makes the glass the same high/width as a stock 32 Tudor. And the rear window shopped less then the sides, but the roof still being level. That would make it look a lot more nose to me. And to me when you drop channel it as much as you did, it makes the dash look super low and out of proportion. But if you raise the cowl and install a 31 dash with 7 S&W gauges set, but lift the cowl top 2 inches it will do a lot for all the proposition. And remember one very simple an basic, but still important part of any build! The BELCOM method that needs to be applied on any hot rod build. Take the car out side, do you clean up in the shop locate the car out side at least 10 feet from you shop. Preferable in some of the last good light of the day pull out BEer LawnChair and Old Music. Move around looking at the look and proportions of the car, remember looking at it from all sides take your time, enjoy you beer and appreciate your progress and remember the spots that don't flow. It's an important part of any build, and gives to much back and it let you stress down after a long day in the shop!! This ended up way longer then planned, but give it a go, and you might end up agreeing.
I agree with you. The top is going to be chopped 4-5". Once that happens I feel the proportions start to look better. I'm just waiting to chop it because I need to get the doors fitting better first. And skin the driver door and replace part of the inner.
The top chop will do nothing to offset the awkward look of the radiator sitting too high. 2" might as well be 2 feet in this case. When anyone looks at the car it will be the first thing they see.
yep the whole car looks like shit because the radiator is too high.im fine with it and to me that's what matters. I'm not building it for anyone but myself. What looks "good" to one might look like shit to another. So far everyone that has came and checked it out have been fine with it. Even after I pointed it out. It's not going to be some show car it's just something fun to do.
Ok, up to this point I and everyone else have been very nice and have tried to help you. I think we all realize what your head is made of by now. Something that resembles Portland cement Your assessment of the car will be correct if you don't have sense to make it right.

While I agree with the idea that the radiator and shell throw the car off as it sits, I don't think harping on the guy is going to do anything more than alienate yet another new HAMB member before they get a chance to acclimate. This isn't helping. He's not at a stage of the build right now where this particular design aspect is going to get re-addressed; it can always be changed later if and when he decides he doesn't like it. He's got a thousand other things to work on in the meantime.
Dustan, Your so right. Every body on here builds there car the way they think it should look, So Go for it. When I first built my T sedan the wheel base was something like 115 to 116 in long and I thought it looked like shit. But I got use to it and so did everyone else plus it rode so good. I agree, this is America, where people went to war so we can do basically what we want... And Dustan is learning, and he is already building his next car in his head, and I am sure it will be Perfect in every way, because of what he learned on this one. We all learned along the way. I look forward to the next Riddler winner coming out of his garage, The man has talent and the facilities.. and is strong willed.. That said. I like tudor T"s, I will be looking in on the train wreck, just can't help it. I like cars...
I had a thread a while back, DROPPED STOCK RADIATORS IN FRONT OF CROSSMEMBER, which might have some info that will interest you, @Dustan since your car is already low and channeled. The car @Moby built really nails it.

And here, I got a little Photoshop itch so I did this quick and dirty for you. I've chopped the roof and added a hood, obviously, but I also took the grill and radiator you have and put it what looks about 3" out front and down a little below level with the cowl to radiator seam. I kinda think I nailed it if I do say so myself Probably needs a hole or a blister in the hood for air & clearance but you see where I'm going.
Also, take out a few inches ABOVE windshield, to make opening line up with side windows, great job BTW.. !!

If I get a chance to get back into it. For now, print out the one I did and put it on your fridge. Digest it for a while; it will grow on you.
unfortunately you open yourself up to everyone's opinions when you post a build thread. I did, many here did. I have regrets in my build now that it is done and had I listened to some of the suggestions at the start, most of my regrets would now be erased. Cold hard facts are, it's your car, your money, and your time so the only person you have to please is yourself. So, my only advice to you is have an open mind to these suggestions proportion and flow of body lines can make or break a car build and we all know how much time and money goes into these builds to wish we had simply given more consideration to the one's that have been there and done that... After you build a car from scratch you look at cars completely different. You look at them thru the eyes of a builder not just a car fanatic. That being said your work is great, just don't settle for good enough, spend the time and do it the way you know it needs to be done. One last thing, the further away you get from a vehicle the more obvious the body lines not "flowing" or matching gets so like somebody stated earlier, ever so often it pays off to push it out and walk around it from a distance and let your eyes do their thing. If something is off you will know it. Good luck to you on this build and as long as your happy with it then that's all that matters.
One more point I would like to make to you, don't let a desired time to get it done get in the way of bulding it right. Take the time neccessary to build it right even if you miss that target date. You will never regret doing it right but you will have regrets about doing it less than right because you were in a hurry. Also getting it outside to get the visual of it will help you build something you can be proud of. I think I am done with my suggestions to help you build a hot rod you can be proud of and enjoy for many years to come.

Yes that's about where I want things to be. I do not like how the front end hangs out there though. And I also hid my z just inside the cowl because I don't like that showing either. I just need my radiator chopped 2 more inches and I would be set.
Dustan, I think you can find a radiator that will suit you, get a price from U.S. Radiator here in Phx.. we are coming your way (lv. Wa.) end of month, might save you shipping. I like the way your 'Z" became your toe board. I was thinking IF you raised your body up so about 1 inch of your frame showed below body, paint it flat black,, (stay with me now ) and used the space between the frame and your beautiful square metal that will hold floor boards that you already have in place: to fabricate two gas tanks, one on each side of drive shaft. connected with a hose, early BMW style. That would accommodate probably 10 gals. at least. Lengthen yer pedals and have fun. Don't let us Bastards wear ya down.
That's awesome! I work in Longview wa! I like the tank idea. The body on 2" blocks shows about 1" of the frame. It's growing on me. I'm painting the frame a gloss ford mint green. The color I want to paint my 62 unibody. I'm going to finish the metal as well as I can on the car and just rock the body bare metal. I will probably spray it clear though
