Love this body! What a great start. I love the touring cars. I have had many cars but none that I have had more fun in then this one. Full fender, more HP then needed, go and have a blast! Haul kids, dogs, hell I even hauled a 150cc flattrack bike in the back seat once. Hot Rods are for driving and having fun. If you can't have fun with it its not a hot rod. Can't wait to see what you do!

@Pist-n-Broke, you think Ivo’s T missed the mark in the looks department? I have to respectfully disagree.

@Royalshifter The past stuff you have built makes me happy. I don't doubt your abilities.
But why did you buy something you didn't have a plan in mind to deal with?
Great price, helping a friend? I mean it's none of my business, but it seems strange.

My 26 RPU started life as the front half of a touring car although all that was left was the cowl and the front doors. From there back I had to build everything.

*Edit* I just changed it, for some reason I typed 27 but in reality my cowl and doors were 26 so that’s what it is.

That touring body is begging for a full fenders open car build with a healthy flathead and nice comfy seats.

    I saw that T at Timonium Maryland in 1975- or 1976, a 23-25 T that really had a LOOK!

One of my favorite hot rod looks is a 26/27 Body on Deuce rails. This one posted here on the Hamb by Houseofhotrods back around 2007 and that makes me wonder if it was the same blue one that I used to see from the Portland area 20 something years before.
A 27 Touring body that nice you don't cut up you just decide what ch***is and engine you want under it and fenders or no fenders and then What fenders as I am another fan of 27 bodies with Model A fenders.
Mild engine with little rump rump that is 100% streetable and you have a four seat hot rod that you go have a hell of a good time in. Or put a tonneau cover over the back seat and toss your gear in the back and you and your lady take off to a weekend rod trot. 27 on Deuce rails.jpg

What would I do? I'd build a touring. Not only more room for family/friends, but parked in a row of T buckets, who's gonna get the most looks? The touring car.

    Does anyone manufacture a 1932 ch***is for a 1927 touring body?
I know they are shaped slightly wider than a roadster.

This picture is from Timonium coverage in Street Rodder if I remember right. This car turns me on big Time. I think it was for sale on here a while back. The wires were replaced with some mag wheels. I'm not a big wire wheel person ,but in this case they make the car, along with the fenders. I wouldn't change a thing if it were mine. Bill

'32 frame also has a "belly", T bodies are flat on the bottom.

This car still exists. It was in the family before my friend, the current caretaker was born. He is retired and living in Indiana. When he lived here in California, we very often conveyed together to runs throughout SoCal. The picture was done before my friend was born. He refers to it as his "older brother "! It is still V860 powered and almost exactly the same as the picture shows. Nowadays, both he and the car are mostly retired. Been in the same family for nearly 80 years!

I don't recall the details but Shadow Rods offered a deuce ch***is years back but it was for (I think), their own 26/27 T body, it didn't retain stock body dimensions, was somewhat wider If I remember correctly.
