Possible trade for a sedan delivery, mid to late 30's or early 40's. Obviously no junk or projects. Selling my 1928 AV8 roadster on a pinched 32 frame. All steel and registered and licensed as a 1928. A little of the back story on the roadster. When I bought the car, the seller said it was built by Tardel. I called Vern up and, sent him pictures of the car along with the VIN and he said yes, he built the car in 2000 or early the 2000's. Vern said he would send me pictures of the build, but later informed me that he couldn't find them. After the build he drove it to the LA Fathers Day roadster show. Had no intention of selling it, but a party from Nevada saw it and had to have it so it was sold. Now the person I had bought it from saw it for sale at the now defunct Flying A Garage in Winnemucca, Nv. The car is extremely clean for being built 25 years ago. It has a 24 stud 59A flathead with 39 trans. I don't know any particulars about the internals of the motor. It jumps to 60 lbs. oil pressure on start up and after warming up will drop down to 40 lbs. It does not overheat. I've had it idling for as long as 30 minutes and it only got up to 195. It's got Offy heads along with an Offy intake with dual 97's. Stewart Warner Ensign dash with the newer SW gauges of which the oil pressure gauge has been replaced. All the gauges work. I had a new fuse block installed along with a new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and a rebuilt starter. The tires are big and little with the Ford 5.5 bolt pattern. Rears are Firestone 8.20X15 and the fronts are 6.40X15. The tires are fairly new and were mounted only a couple of years ago. In the past I had a problem with the clutch, which turned out to be a tweaked clutch fork, hence, the new clutch, pressure plate, etc. I had a glitch with it a few weeks ago. It would run fine for about 15-20 minutes and then start ****ping out. Had a friend of mine come over, a retired mechanic that had an exotic car garage back in Tennessee. He completely went over the wiring and fuse block that was installed, check out the carbs, adjusted the float in one of them and replace the accelerator pump in the other. After the work we took it out for a 30 minute drive with no problems. If the car sells here I don't want to let it go with out the buyer or the buyers representative inspecting the car. I want a 100% complete satisfaction on the sell. Look at the pictures for a better description. On a side note, the only reason I'm selling it is because I can't drive it anymore. I have nerve damage in my right hip and along with a hip replacement it would be impossible for me if I had to do an emergency or panic stop.
