I am having trouble finding a carburetor for my 28. I believe the original can be subs***uted with a Carter 150S, does anyone know if I could make a Carter C-RJH-08 updraft work? Thanks, Davey Mac

    The 1928 102s RAKX-0 (4 cylinder) and the 1930-31 150s RJH-08 (6 cylinder) are not interchangeable.

The cast iron used by both Carter and Chevrolet on the 1928 carbs has issues. The 1928 carbs are available, but extremely expensive. Often, they require welding and remachining of the main casting in the location of the idle tube.

Carter 245s, Stromberg SF-1, and some Zenith universals may all be used, but all of these will also require a cross-flange adapter.
