Well with my 51 ford about rdy to drive and beign in car show season down here in Arizona, i picked up another project... 1928 coupe... well roadster is what it will be since i dont have the roof but i have all most everything else for the body.
its.. intimidating but hey i want to get it back together and save it.
so far i know im missing the roof*will make a roadster instead" 1 door, dash, and the deck lid is trash.
i will be on the hunt for a frame or might look into just building my own soon so i can start piecing the body back together!

I never had any body parts besides the cowl, hood, and a fender.

I am very fond of a speedster build based on 1928 Chev bones. I unfortunately had to sell my entire 1928 stash due to health and old age. Still have a rolling ch***is just in case. If you want a little history and perspective, get a copy of Outlaw Sprint Car Racer about the life and times of John Gerber and all he did with wild bits and pieces in the barnstorming days. Have fun

Can’t say for sure if the 28/29 body is the same but might be worth looking into if it is.

Model A frame wouldn't be a bad start.

I was building a 28 chevy 3 window coupe about 15 years ago. Had it set on a bobbed 30 chevy truck frame that was boxed and had a 16" kick up in the rear. Model beam up front on a suicide perch, man I wish I still had it. Keep at it it'll be killer when your done!

This will be fun to watch. You certainly have free choice to go where those parts take you. My '26 has so many Chevy parts so I am trying to keep it as much Chevy as I can mostly. I little note on the frame. '28 was the last 4 cylinder but the six was in the works. The six didn't make it until '29 but the '28 frame had already been lengthened a few inches. So if your frame is a '28 or later an inline 6 could be an engine choice. I'll be following this, Good luck to you! Oh, because yours was a closed car there will be information and possibly plans for the wood body framing because it was a Fisher body. That may help even if you use metal to connect the body panels.
