Ran across an opportunity to purchase a 28' Ford model A, question is what is a fair and decent price for this thing? A little about what I know of it: looks very complete, body in great condition...no visible rot anywhere, decent paint with fading, that said it is in a dimly lit storage area, but looks to be very complete the motor looks clean and all intact, running condition unknown, last inspected and titled in 1970, the interior looks period and complete with the usual aging from heat, seems letting loose and headliner begining to tear I know without pix this is just a ballpark guess( back to the dimly lit storage) but just give me your honest opinion on what a fair price would be for this thing lets say in non-running condition, but in tact and basically complete?
This is the body style and basically what the car looked like at one time, of course the one I'm looking at is in a little bit lesser condition at this point....this is an image off of google.
Ballpark given the information provided...My guess between 3.5-4.5k. Maybe higher if body's in awesome shape, less if theres rust lingering....
So it's a tudor sedan.... all original but not runnng... $4 - 6 K here in the northeast... What's the guy asking?
Thanks for the help guys! I only talked to the guy breifly today, he had to leave unexpectedly so we're gonna meet again tomorrow and talk about it, just wanted to get my ducks in a row before we haggled a price ,,,thanks for the input, knew you guys could help, I will keep ya'll updated
I prob wouldn't pay over 4k for it, especially if your going to attempt to 'hotrod' it, most of that original stuff is going in the trash anyway, view the car as what you can use not all that it has. for example you can't use a torn headliner, great that its still there but its no use to you. just my opinion.
