Technical 1929 a frame numbers

i know 1929 a frame number general location,my frame had some grinding on it,so is the number horizontal along the frame or from inside outside on he frame...anybody got a picture maybe of the exact location

 

Have a 30 2 door sedan frame,the numbers are on the top of the rail going with the rail located below where the cowl kind of sits.

 

The frame number is on the drivers side (left) just ahead of the front cowl mounting bolt.

Exact location is under the cowl, drivers side. The number runs parallel with the frame on the top side. I believe the number starts toward the front of the car. From my experience, the earlier Model A's, say 28's and 29's, the numbers are spread out more and more randomly placed. On the later Model A's, the numbers were stamped with more care.

I think mine was closer to the inside edge of the frame than shown in the illustration.
