Projects 1929 Chevy Sedan Delivery

    It has been a long road to get to this point but finally my 4 dr converted into a sedan delivery is almost ready for paint. For anyone that is interested the roof is off of a Ford Flex.

    looks good - helps prove that you need to be flexible when building a ride
     
  3. That is slick. Real nice work on that body. Tons of wood in that car so I know that was a ton of work.

    Thanks. My goal when I started this project was to build it as if Chevrolet built it in the factory.
    luckily with 2 extra doors I had extra hinges and handles, so when I built the rear door I used them, and it looks fairly factory. As for the drive train, from what I read 1929 was the year chev introduced the inline six, so I opted for a 1961 235 and a cast iron glide, a little heavy on the trany but oh well

    yes chevy did build a 29 delivery. i have had mine over 18 yrs. most people uses a 2 dr sedan and it makes the side not look right

    Yes I like the short front door on the 4 door and the longer look of the rear cargo area , seems to give nice proportions in my opinion
