Hello! First time posting in a while, so I hope I selected the appropriate area for this post. This amazing 1929 Ford Roadster recently came out of SoCal to Richardson Motor Company, my dealership located in Sierra Vista, AZ. The current understanding is that it was built in 1956, sat for about 35 years in storage, and was then purchased and made roadworthy again while trying to maintain as much of its originality as possible. It's a great felling to go for a cruise in it. Here's what we think we know to date: This 1929 Ford Roadster, identified by VIN DRF108330, is built on a 1932 Ford frame and powered by a 1950 Mercury engine. Its precise engine displacement (239 or 255) remains unconfirmed. The drivetrain includes a 1939 Ford transmission, paired with 1940 Ford brakes and a shortened 1940 Ford banjo rear, with a final drive ratio possibly being either 3.78 or 4.11. The roadster’s steering setup features a 1933 Ford column and a ’53-’55 steering box. Various key components have been refurbished: the water pumps by Skip Haney at Ford Barn in Florida, Stromberg 97 carburetors with Stromberg kits, the fuel pump with a deluxe kit, and the radiator by OK Radiator. It also has a windshield, which is not seen in the images. A suite of new parts includes wheel and master cylinders, brake lines and springs, wiring harness, a four-way turn switch, and Stewart Warner gauges. Other modern updates consist of seatbelts, battery, PerTronix ignition, Moroso spark plug wires, new hoses for water and fuel, belts, and a Power Master alternator. The front suspension features a powder-coated Superbell dropped axle, Speedway front spring, new king pins and bushings, and a steering dampener. Additionally, the roadster includes a beehive oil filter, fresh rear brake drums, and has received an oil and filter change at 0 miles on the replacement speedometer. We thought we'd share it here to see to if anyone in the group might recognize it and know some of its history. Anyone have any knowledge memories of this roadster to share? https://www.richardsonmotorcompany....ter-roadster-3852aab2e3cc4e7ba1819e84b8f8593d
