Poor job on a new top by po. Non original upholstery on stock seats. Missing driver's door panel, have repro splash aprons, fenders have some bruises and prior amateur repairs, no visible bead tears. Both pass. side glass cracked. Have an extra engine, think it's a 30, lacking a generator, and carb. Took the head off and bores, pistons look good, with little to no ridge, but haven't had the pan off. Bought this motor from a friend as a good one. Ya pays ya money, ya takes ya chances. $8500, thanks, but no trades. Trying to thin the herd. Was going to make a A-v8 out of this one, so for an additional negotiable price, I have a 53 truck 8ba complete with 4 spd. so it already has the hogshead, Offy manifold with 1 94 carb. Other hole is blocked off. This motor was supposed to be, again, from a friend, nearly fresh. Got some stuff not on the motor, like a Mallory electronic ignition, Sanderson stainless headers, and I think a couple other small cosmetic items I forget. Won't sell any of the flathead stuff separately yet, prefer as a package. I know what I have in it and if you're looking for this stuff, you know what it's worth. Make me a reasonable offer on one or both. Personal inspection is always encouraged. Shipping is at buyer's expense and arrangement.

Clear title in my name, lower cowls are good, quarters and sub rails good, only rust I've found is splash aprons, have repros to replace, and running boards, no replacements for those. To add to the A-v8 package, I have a new 4" dropped, 46" wide axle and later spindles, most of a set of hairpins, a complete pickup banjo rear-condition unknown-and enough early hydraulics parts to get front brakes. I would like to sell the whole deal-car and parts as a package to someone who would build it. I can get pictures of the additional parts if someone is really interested.

A good start to the A-V8 you've always wanted. I know I always wanted one, but time is no longer on my side. I'll throw in Vern Tardel's book "Hot Rod Your Model A." Out of print, and an invaluable source for one of these builds.
