I have a 1930 Chevy dash that I bought a while back and have started to sand and prime it as it is in good shape. The top of the dash is flat, but I noticed when looking at the bottom edge, the drivers side appears to crown, or bow, outward from the steering column mount to the gauge area. It does not appear to have been damaged any where and has no creases or dings.

Can anyone tell me if the contour is original?i

  2. It should not have a bow in it. It should be even all the way across the panel. My guess is that someone had it out at one time. If not over time could have caused it to bow.
