Whats wrong with the orginal grill shell? Check plydo (304)475-3245 for a front axle and a rear end mounting kit. they also may have your 34 gill shell your looking for. Nice complete car by the way looking forward to progress pics.

The grill is just to big and square! Like the A's that everyone changes to a Duece. I like the swoop and curve of the 33-36 grills This one is pretty rough had been rechromed over some very poor work etc..

The swoopy 33-34 shells don't look good on the older square body styles.

I used a 35 Dodge truck shell on a 31 Dodge, so I cut a long triangle piece out of each side to make it stand up straight.

    Made new grille bars...

I'm a fan of the model A grill on a model A. see issue # 41 of The Rodder's Journal pg 72. that coupe is pure evil.

wow, cool, I like your build. I am working on a 1929 Dodge Coupe build right now (since 2008) and H.A.M.B.er 37Fabrication just built me some zoomies for mine.

Got an extra drivers side door?

Dude..... that car would be bad ass with those fenders ..... and that grille.
But if you are set on no fenders and different grille..... i know someone who sure could use those.

It's obviously yours and you can do what you want with it. What a waste of a great looking complete car.

great looking car: definitely at least hold onto the fenders. i had a '30 dodge coupe project, looked for fenders for about 5 years... finally settled for a set that had more lace than a 80s prom date, just to use to pull a pattern from.

if'n it were mine, i'd keep the fenders on it, keep it un-chopped, keep the full hood and a stock grill... some shiny paint... and a full boogie little hemi to keep it fun.

good luck with the project, look forward to seeing it progress!

nice build! Great to see someone working on something other than a Ford (no that does not mean I am giving up the three Fords in my garage!).

"Lame Excuse" had to work Somebody has to pay you Bob Haha LoL ! Nice work on the frame Z

Here are some pics of more tear down I took off a fiberglass roof insert. I think Bondo Villa did it Bob Villas brolther LOL The top had alot more curve to it! Also there was some steel plates rivited to the inside of the rocker and alot of rust that will be fixed. The car had been restored at one time. THe work was not very good so the rust kept on.
I am going to try to make a retractable top like a VW for it! for those nice spring and fall cruises.

Here it is with body channelled six inches. The 331 Hemi and 700r4 in for mock up. The Frame has been Z ed and is hard to see under the body Bob Has done such a great job on everything! It is sitting on stands were it should be with the wheels etc. on it. I have a 4 in drop axle and 4 link for the rear. We got rid of all the original leafs springs. The top will be chopped 4-5 inches I just cant wait to drive this down the road I gots the Fever LOL

Here it is with the center section and the beginning of the four link rear set up with the quick change. I found a plymouth grill shell to use instead of the 36 ford grill going to sell off the last of the extras to raise build money! Please look for my other posts for a little of everything! Thanks
